Cafe for Adam and Eve Street?

A CAFE could soon be opening at shop premises in Harborough that have stood empty for months.

A planning application for a change of use at the former premises of Oriental Healing in Adam and Eve Street has been submitted to Harborough District Council.

Bruce Spence of Stinford Leys in Harborough wishes to open a cafe at the premises - employing three full-time staff and one part-timer.

He applied for the change of use last month and wants to carry out interior work to the toilets and the kitchen as part of the plan.

The proposed opening hours of the cafe would be 7.30am until 4.30pm Monday through until Saturday.

The application will be decided at a meeting of the council’s planning committee. For further details go to the council’s website and search in the planning application section for the application reference number 12/00047/FUL.

Former occupants of the premises, Oriental Healing, provided alternative Chinese medicine for a variety of ailments but closed last June.
