A spinners guild has gained a new wheel for its members after a fundraising drive.

The Guild of Longdraw Spinners gave its new Great Wheel a welcome at its February meeting with cake and bucks fizz.

Members and supporters raised £1,000 for this modern version of a historic wheel.

Chairman of the guild Janet Jackson cut a ribbon with regulars and members of neighbouring guilds in attendance.
