Help for parents of murdered children

A support group is being set up for Leicestershire parents whose children have been murdered or who died in tragic circumstances.

Tony Corley, of Hinckley, spoke to the Mail last week to extend an invitation to the Harborough district to see if any parents here would like to attend his new group’s support sessions.

The group is called Understand and meetings are taking place on the first Friday of every month between 11.30am-2pm at The Next Generation, 108 Castle Street, Hinckley.

Mr Corley’s son Mark was murdered 12 years ago.

He had been shot in the head and his body buried in remote farmland in north-east England in 2000.

The first meeting of the group is scheduled for Friday, May 3.

For more details, phone Mr Corley on 07746 624211.
