A remedy must be found for this disease

ONE cannot help but think that there is a terrible disease affecting councillors that is spreading up the A6 like wildfire.

The symptoms are a blatant disregard for the wishes of the people who elected them and a feeling that they have a God-given right to do whatever they want irrespective of the effects on the town they represent.

Kettering has reduced its centre to a dump. Together with Desborough councillors they are doing the same in Desborough with the leisure centre, Lawrence’s site, Tesco and Sainsbury’s, and now Market Harborough’s councillors are following suit in destroying one of the main attractions to the town, its fantastic indoor market.

Hopefully in due course a remedy will be found for this sickness via a ballot box , BUT probably too late to save the affected areas.

David Gauld,

Furlong Road,

Desborough.
