Government should provide for pensioners, not travellers

WHAT do I think of a £440,000 pot for extra pitches for travellers? In one word – disgust.

The clue is in the word travellers – they are supposed to travel, so why do we have to provide yet more permanent pitches for them?

They contribute very little, but take advantage of everything, and when they do move on, many leave their filth.

I have just read in the Daily Mail that pensioners are 20 per cent worse off due to inflation – price of fuel, food etc.

Pensioners are the ones who have contributed greatly to this country, working hard with short holidays and long working days, and are rewarded by a measly state pension causing many to be living on the breadline.

It would appear that the current Government is more interested in the welfare and comfort of travellers than it is of their pensioners.
