How about a seven-day market?

REGARDING Market Harborough Market Hall, can Cllr Rook tell us all why he wants to get rid of a paying asset?

It is not the reason they were skint, because they have come up with millions of pounds in reserve. Also they can say goodbye to £280,000 in business rates.

The market is owned by taxpayers not by Cllr Rook, and also not by the council, so do the tax payers get a say in what happens to the money they have put into it?

So Cllr Rook, why not think what else you could do like a seven-day market with some fairs, also model shows, flea market, art exhibitions, etc.

More of it will make more money. So Cllr Rook they all keep the asset and get a life that would help Market Harborough market not kill it and the town.

Also more shops we do not need as there are plenty of empty ones now.

K Brown,

(Stall 34 Harborough Market Hall)
