Market Harborough seems to take precedent over others

Susan Stellard’s letter complaining about “people who don’t live in Harborough” in turn complaining about “our” councillors confirmed a general ignorance about district and local government that rubs something of a sore in this neck of the woods.

Harborough is indeed a district council not a town council – which it should be – hence all other towns and villages are subsumed to what is meant to be a structure that represents and supports all its constituents. Not surprisingly, people in our part of the bailiwick consider that the needs, interests and priorities of Market Harborough appear to overrule all else.

Just a reminder to one and all that there is life West of the M1!
