Market Harborough should not become a town full of super stores

A COPY OF A LETTER SENT TO COUNCILLOR ROOK

I HAVE read all the comments that have been published and also listened to other people who have the same view as I do.

That is why it makes me think that you never listen to the overwhelming view of the people of Market Harborough that the closing of ‘The Indoor Market’ is not wanted.

For once you should listen to the people who have put you in charge of making Market Harborough what it has become – a wonderful town full of a variety of small businesses, and not what a few do-gooders think it should be – a town full of super stores.

If this task is too hard for you to understand, then you should stand down and let someone who understands what the majority of people in Market Harborough and the surrounding villages want.

Harsh, but needed, so I think you should think hard before you become the Mr Beeching of Market Harborough.

(A very unhappy Council Tax Payer),

Colin JS Onions,

Dribdale,

Fleckney.
