People should be more vocal about saving the market
FOR the council to suggest moving the market to the dismal area behind the council offices is insulting, both to the stallholders and to their loyal customers.
Very few traders would move up there, not many shoppers would follow them, and soon there would be no market.
A solution needs to be found which ensures that the Market Hall remains in use for its intended purpose.
Almost 10,000 people have signed a petition. If they genuinely want to keep their market they must be more vociferous.
