Which would you choose?

AFTER reading about Councillor Rook paying a visit to the market last week, just what did he expect, a red carpet to welcome him?

Does he not realise the market is the hub of Harborough and without it the town would lose its character?

As for his quote that there was public outcry over the possibility of the council offices being moved out of town, let me guess that this outcry probably came from the council workers themselves who would be losing their very convenient local dinnertime shopping outing and the very convenient private car park that they all use for weekend shopping.

If the public had a choice of losing the market or the very less important council offices from the town centre, then let me guess who would win that one, certainly not the council.

Keith Low,

Ryelands Close, Harborough.
