Young workers were frozen stiff
ON SATURDAY afternoon, in what seemed like -10 C, I felt very sorry for two young people who were standing outside Sainsbury’s giving out Argos catalogues.
They had no shelter and were not particularly well wrapped up against the extreme cold.
Health and safety? Surely their manager didn’t expect an upturn in sales as a result of such an exercise?
Although they managed to smile, I bet they were thoroughly fed up! They had my sympathy.
