Mail Memories: Projections of the past

This photo was sent to the Mail by Keith Woodford, of Hammond Way, Harborough, who was chief projectionist at the Ritz cinema in Northampton Road from the 1950s to its closure in the late 1970s.

Taken in the 1950s, the picture shows the projection room, which Mr Woodford said was exposed during the demolition of the building just before Christmas. The room, at the front of the building, was recognisable by the red bricks which still remained, Mr Woodford explained to the Mail.
