Welland Park community centre consultation day
PLANS for a community centre in Welland Park are on display today (Tuesday) at the Market Hall.
The Welland Community Centre will be built in the park and one of the features of it will be a cafe which will overlook the park.
A new business plan and successful application to the Leicestershire County Council Big Society grant fund means that the project can now enter the consultation stage.
Martin Hill, Harborough Improvement Team, said: “I think this is an exciting project with the potential to develop an attractive building and sustainable business in Welland Park that benefits all of the community.”
The consultation at the market will take place today between 10am and 4pm. Afterwards the plans will be on display at Sainsbury’s foyer between 5pm and 6.30pm.
There will be a chance to fill out a surveystating your views on the community centre.
Anyone unable to make the consultation today at Harborough Indoor Market or Sainsbury’s can come along to a connsultation on Wednesday, February 22 at Welland Park Cafe between 10am and 4pm.
