Broadway hit to open at outdoor theatre

BROADWAY hit musical Guys and Dolls starts its 33-show run at Kilworth House Hotel's outdoor theatre this Wednesday, June 2.

The 550-capacity theatre with its sail-like canopy is situated in a wooded glade, close to the 19th century hotel.

Set amid the hustle and bustle of New York City, Guys and Dolls follows its larger than life characters as they sing, dance and bluff their way through a host of exploits.

Famous songs include Luck Be A Lady, Sit Down You're Rockin' The Boat, A Bushel And A Peck and If I Were A Bell.

The cast, made up of seasoned West End performers, includes Paul Robinson, Sarah Ingram, Paul Baker, Lizzii Hills, James Paterson, Jamie Golding and Carl Patrick.

It is being directed and choreographed by Mitch Sebastian with musical supervision from Matthew Freeman who were the creative pair behind previous Kilworth hits The Pirates of Penzance, Oklahoma!, Crazy For You and The Opera Show.

The musical is running almost daily between this Wednesday, June 2, and Sunday, July 4. Tickets cost between 20 and 25 from 01858 881939 or www.kilworthhousetheatre.co.uk.

By last Thursday, the box office had sold 16,000 tickets.
