Carnival reports

HARBOROUGH'S Carnival has again been hailed a huge success.

The annual event on Saturday saw mainly sunny weather and people turned out in their thousands to watch the Carnival parade and peruse the attractions and entertainment down on the showground ay Symington's Recreation Ground.

It got off to a fantastic start with an amazing float parade.

About 25 floats - and some cycling entries - lined up in Burnmill Road at midday before heading through the town.

The streets were lined with supportrs as people waved the floats through.

The winners were as follows:

Adults section:

1 Lighter life - Moulin Rough-inspired design caught the judges eye.
