Get set for Harborough Carnival
HARBOROUGH is set to go Carnival crazy this Saturday.
The Carnival kicks off tomorrow (Friday, June 11) with the annual curtain-raising quiz at the Three Swans Hotel, off High Street, Harborough, where entrants can compete for the coveted Harborough Mail shield.
Teams of four can enter - to guarantee your place register your team by visiting the Harborough Mail offices in 9 Northampton Road, Harborough.
It costs 5 for a team of four.
On Saturday the carnival parade will gather in Burnmill Road from 11am and will set off at midday along the usual route through the town centre (High Street, Coventry Road, Farndon Road, Welland Park Road, Northampton Road and into St Mary's Road).
From about 1pm the fun will move to the Carnival Showground on Symington's Recreation Ground in St Mary's Road.
There are still slots left for acts to entertain crowds at the Carnival Showground, in Symington's Rec, off St Mary's Road.
