Performers from across Harborough descended on the Three Swans Hotel at the weekend to audition for a contest aiming to find the area’s top talent.

Acts including singers, musicians and dancers and even meerkats took part in the Harborough’s Got Talent auditions held over Saturday and Sunday.

The event, which is organised by Market Harborough Musical Theatre, has a top prize of £500.

The hopefuls were judged by a panel which included Harborough FM DJ Moley, Eleanor Shepherd of the theatre group and musician Faye Deane.

Eleanor, who also organised the event, said judges had a hard time choosing which acts to send through to the final at Welland Park Theatre on Saturday, April 13, as there were so many talented acts to choose from.

She added: “We are overwhelmed by the quality of the acts this year and I know the final is going to be an exciting show.”

For tickets to the final phone 07872 436647, email Harboroughsgottalent@yahoo.co.uk or visit the HFM studios in Fernie Road, Harborough.
