A hint of what is to come at Harborough's popular Arts Fresco event this year has been revealed by the organisers.
The street arts event, which attracts large crowds and sees dozens of wacky and wonderful performers dotted throughout town, makes a return to Harborough for the seventh year on Saturday, September 13.

Artists from as far afield as France, Holland and Australia will be making the trip this year, including Les Grooms, the cheeky French bell boys who were a hit in 2007, and the Motionhouse Dance troupe, a popular act from 2006.

The festival's artistic director Caterina Loriggio said: "Harborough's Arts Fresco is now the largest festival of its type in the East Midlands attracting ever-increasing crowds to the town centre."

Attractions this year also include a craft market, circus workshop, face- painting and a hat and mask workshop.

The event has been funded by grants from the Arts Council and sponsorship from town firm Joules Clothing and Harborough District Council.

The free event will run from 11am to 5pm.
