A PICNIC was held on Saturday on a patch of land recently tidied up by volunteers.
Members of Harborough Improvement Team’s Environment Group had cut back and cleared an overgrown area of the town centre near the Market Hall in April and a picnic was held there to drum up support for the group and to generate fresh ideas.

About 20 people attended the site, off Northampton Road, and suggestions put forward included planting fruit trees, improving access, putting up wildlife information boards and developing a partnership with Harborough schools to look after the area.
