TWO events will be held in Marston Trussell Village Hall this week to try to put right damage caused when theives stripped lead from the church roof.
A film show featuring The Battle of Naseby and Tales of a Land Army Girl, both produced by local film group Harborough Movie Makers, will be shown tomorrow from 7.30pm. Admission £4 including refreshments.

On Wednesday the village hall will play host to a Christmas Shopping and Pamper Evening from 7pm to 9.30pm.

It will feature a raffle and a variety of stalls selling candles, cards, gifts, decorations, jewellery and wooden bowls.

Admission is £2 and mini-manicures or facials can also be booked on 01858 462001.

Both events are being held to raise money for the village’s St Nicholas’ Church funds to help pay to replace lead stolen from the roof in two separate raids in summer 2007.
