THE JOBS market in Harborough has been given a boost with the opening of a builders’ trade firm.

Screwfix, which is opening 40 new trade counters nationwide, launched a new venture in Harborough at the Three Manors Business Park, off Rockingham Road on Saturday.

Branch manager Daryl Wilder said: “This is our first branch in Harborough and it is great news – creating 11 jobs locally.

“Tradesmen will have much greater access to all the trade essentials they need and it means they won’t have to travel far to reach their nearest Screwfix store.”

Customers can buy more than 18,000 products from its catalogue.

It is open Mondays to Fridays from 8am to 6pm and on Saturdays from 8am to 5pm.
