A new business aiming to offer a cutting edge has opened its doors in Harborough town centre.
Kennedy’s Barber Shop opened at 11 Manor Walk in Harborough last month at the former site of health food shop Holland & Barrett.
The site became vacant after Holland & Barrett moved to St Mary’s Place shopping centre in town.
The proprietor of Kennedy’s is Angela Smart, who has been a barber/hairdresser for more than 20 years.
She previously owned a barbers shop in Wigston for five years but sold her part of the business when she decided to take time out from the world of work to start a family.
The mum-of-four said: “Now that the children are slightly older I believed it was the best time to get back into the business I love.
“I wanted to create a fantastic traditional barbers in my favourite market town.”
She lives in Countesthorpe but has always held a love of the Harborough area.
The business aims to offer a relaxing atmosphere, combining traditional, classic barber skills to suit people’s individual needs.
The opening hours are from 9.15am to 5.30pm on Mondays to Fridays and from 9am to 3pm on Saturdays.
