New forum for landlords

THE HARBOROUGH branch of the National Landlords Association (NLA) will hold its first meeting tomorrow (Thursday, February 16).

The forum will provide a free opportunity for local landlords to meet and learn about the latest in the private rented sector and network with others.

Expert speakers will discuss how to make your lettings business profitable, while there will be advice on how to address problems of dampness in properties.

The meeting will be held in two sessions, from 1pm to 4pm and from 5pm to 8pm at the Three swans Hotel, in High Street, Harborough.

Christine Fernandes, NLA Local Representative for the East Midlands said: “This is the first local branch meeting organized by the NLA and we intend to hold them regularly from now on. The free meetings will help landlords keep up to date with policy, legislation along with sharing best practice and solve problems.

“Letting a property is a rewarding experience and can help provide additional income, however, landlords must be aware of the rules and regulations that go with it. The meetings are open to all landlords.”
