Two churches in the Harborough district will be holding fun fairs and cream teas in a bid to fundraise for their chosen causes.
The autumn fair will take place at St Dionysius Church between 9.30am and 1pm on Saturday.
Janet Swales, of St Dionysius, said: “Over the past 30 years we have raised more than £100,000 which has been included in our annual donations to headquarters.
“We always ask for the money to be included in grants for research into the eventual cure for diabetes being undertaken in the Leicester Hospitals and Universities.
“We feel that money raised locally should be used in research in this area.”
Also taking place this weekend is an afternoon tea event at St Nicholas Church in Little Bowden between 2.30 and 4.40pm on Sunday.
The church is located in Rectory Lane in Little Bowden and all are welcome to attend the event.
All proceeds will go to St Nicholas Church roof fund.
