A CLAY pigeon shoot helped a Lutterworth pub raise £500 for good causes.

The Fox, in Rugby Road, organised the 25 target shoot at Spa Vale Shooting Ground recently.

The event was attended by about 40 of the pub’s customers, who gathered afterwards for a charity lunch at The Fox.

The day raised £500, which will be split between the local area branch of the Royal National Lifeboat Institute (RNLI) and the Mayor’s Appeal in aid of the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance and Christians Against Poverty.

The money was handed to the good causes involved during a presentation event at the pub last Thursday.

The pub thanked sponsors of the charity event Robinsons Jewellers, Manyana Transport and Anglo Training Services.
