The officer leading the investigation into the murder of former Harborough doorman David ‘Les’ Ross, has said he is pleased with the response following an appeal on BBC Crimewatch.

Mr Ross, who once worked as a doorman at Harborough’s Enigma, was found dead in a room at the Village Inn Express hotel in Corby on Monday, December 17 last year.

An appeal into his death was shown on Crimewatch on Thursday, February 14.

Detective Chief Inspector Martin Kinchin, said: “Some useful information was received as a result of last night’s show, which we will now be working through to establish if any significant detail has come to light.

“We are sure there are still people in Corby, or further afield, who may have vital information in helping us to establish who was responsible for the death of Mr Ross.

“We are grateful to everyone who has come forward so far. But if you haven’t and saw Mr Ross at any time on the day of his death, Monday 17 December, or the weekend before, then please come forward now.

“We are also keen for any information about the property that was stolen from Mr Ross’s home on Friday 14 December, namely an iPhone, a BlackBerry PlayBook and a laptop computer.”

If anyone believes they have information about this incident, they are asked to call police on 101 and ask for Operation Lane, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
