A TEENAGER was killed in a three-vehicle car crash just days after he had passed his driving test.

Adam Stevenson (18), who lived in Fleckney, died following the crash in Bath Lane, Bruntingthorpe, on Monday night.

It happened at about 9.40pm.

Adam was driving a black Ford Ka and the other cars involved were a white VW Golf GTD and a red Seat Arosa.

Two 17-year-old males have been arrested in connection with the incident and have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Friends and family have left loving tributes and flowers to Adam, a former pupil of Harborough’s Robert Smyth School, at the scene of the crash and on social networking website Facebook.

Sister Alexis Stevenson, writing on Adam’s Facebook page, said: “Goodbye’s the hardest word I’ll ever know but I’m having to say it to you little brother. I’ll never forget you.”

Aaron Jones, also posting on Facebook, said: “Gunna miss you so much. But all I can say is that Adam is a truly magnificent lad, honest, caring, funny, everything you can think of and he will be truly missed.”

No-one else was injured in the crash.

Det Con Adam Sparrow, who is investigating, said: “All three vehicles were travelling along Bath Lane towards Shearsby when the collision occurred.

“We would urge anyone who was travelling along Bath Lane on Monday evening to contact us if they witnessed the collision or saw any of the vehicles beforehand, in particular if you saw them driving around in the Fleckney and Bruntingthorpe areas.

“Any information about the collision or the events leading up to it will help us in our investigation.

“Any calls received will be treated in confidence.”

Anyone with information can phone DC 1210 Sparrow by dialling 101 and then following instructions to leave a message for the officer.

Alternatively, phone the Crimestoppers hotline anonymously on 0800 555 111.
