Developer goes back to the drawing board on estate plan

A DEVELOPER which was granted permission last year to build 120 homes on the northern outskirts of Lutterworth has said it wants to extend the number to 149.

William Davis Ltd’s outline plan for the estate north of Bill Crane Way was given the green light by Harborough District Council in November.

At the time, William Davis had prepared two indicative proposals for the site, one which included 120 homes and one which was for 149.

The layout of 120 homes was approved, but Williams Davis has submitted a fresh application asking the district council to switch its approval to the layout of 149 homes.

The 120-home scheme had been partly approved because it maintained more of a separation between Lutterworth and Bitteswell – but William Davis says the 149 home scheme will not cause a problem for Bitteswell.

The plans can be viewed at www.harborough.gov.uk.
