Motorcycle champion Edmund Best has shared the spoils of his on-track success with his new school, Welland Park Academy.

The Year 7 pupil, pictured above with vice-principal Andy Turner, won a record sixth British Grass Track Championship title last year, receiving a trophy as well as a £100 cheque.

Edmund’s first five titles netted £500 for Little Bowden Primary School, so the 11-year-old was pleased to hand over his 2012 prize in his first year at the newly formed academy.
