Harborough Mail, January 3, 2013

MARKET Harborough could finally have a new cinema in 2013 after five years of planning.

A deal has been done which is likely to see the cinema created on a site next to Symington’s Rec.

The cinema will be on the old bowling green and will have seating capacity for 100 people.

The single screen cinema will show a mixture of new releases and old movies.

The final amendments to the terms of the cinema’s lease were made in a series of meetings in the run-up to Christmas.

The date for its opening has been put back several times since the project started.

Work on the site is now to start in early January with a view to opening later this year. The cinema will share some facilities with Harborough Youth and Community Trust.

Read all about in your Mail out Thursday, January 3.
