Logistics firm given 327 car parking space nod
A HAULAGE and logistics firm has been given permission to create more than 300 car parking spaces next to its Magna Park warehouse.
Unipart Logistics, in Vulcan Way, submitted the scheme for the two-storey car park which it said was to provide more parking spaces for its workforce.
Unipart currently has about 110 car parking spaces at Magna Park, but the development would triple the number available to about 327.
Leicestershire County Council’s highways department said it had some concerns with the scheme, as it would increase the number of cars travelling to Magna Park and would not encourage people to use ‘green’ methods of travel.
The plans were approved last Tuesday.
