Hundreds of runners chased a Yeti across fields in Harborough district yesterday (Sunday).

The Avalanche Run at Wrongs Farm in Sibbertoft saw competitors battle muddy conditions over a 10km course in pursuit of the Yeti, who had been given a head-start.

The event raised money for the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance.

The Yeti had visited Harborough in the run-up to the event and also met the crew of the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance Service at East Midlands Airport.
