Rail journeys suspended this weekend

Rail journeys between Harborough and Leicester are suspended this weekend for essential engineering works.

No trains will operate to or from the stations between 1.15am on Saturday 1.15am on Monday.

East Midlands Trains said: “To minimise disruption, you may find it easier to travel on alternative days. If you do wish to travel during this time you should expect extended journey times along the route.

“Revised bus and train timetables are in operation for Saturday 23 March and Sunday 24 March and we will do all we can to make your journeys as smooth as possible.

“Please note, cycles cannot be carried on rail replacement buses.”
