This horse was found up to its knees in water on Sunday after rainfall and snow thaw led to flooding.

The photo was sent to the Mail by Chris Beesley-Reynolds, who contacted the RSPCA to raise concerns about the horse’s welfare after spotting it tethered in a field off the old A6 north of Harborough, near the Forest Gate car dealership.

The RSPCA said they contacted the owner, who moved the horse to higher ground and gave it hay.
