Harborough Air Cadets take part in Comic Relief challenge at RAF Cranwell
Wacky and fun events will be taking place across Harborough district to raise funds for Comic Relief – and we want to know all about them.
Red Nose Day takes place on Friday, March 15, and people in the Harborough and Lutterworth area are busy planning fun events.
Air cadets from Market Harborough (1084) squadron have already taken part in a challenge for Comic Relief that featured on an episode of Blue Peter last week.
The Harborough cadets helped form a giant RND which could be seen from the skies during a Red Arrows flypast at RAF Cranwell in Lincolnshire.
Many schools and nurseries across the district are holding events.

Little Angels Day Nursery in Harborough is staging a Tommy Cooper comedy week.
Lubenham All Saints Primary School is organising a great Book Bake Off where children and adults are invited to bake a cake based on their favourite book.
Royal Wedding cake-maker Fiona Cairns, of Fleckney, will be the judge.
Businesses are also getting involved. Market Harborough Building Society is holding a guess how many sweets are in the jar contest at all its branches.
It is also organising a raffle with a top prize of a hamper.
Harborough’s Sainsbury’s, which is a main sponsor of Red Nose Day, is holding a hot dog eating competition, a contest to see how many T-shirts people can pull on, a Maltesers challenge, a Day in the Life of a Spacehopper fun event, and some staff are taking part in a fire walk across hot coals.
To take part in any of their events or to sponsor staff, call Mel Wisher on 01858 461724.
