Community big band Brass Wind and Fire raised almost £2,000 for charity after growing ‘Movember’ moustaches .
Tenor sax player Neil Curran had his whiskers shaved off by Louise Evans of The Grooming Room during the interval of their Latin Fiesta concert at the Jubilee Hall recently.
The boys in the band raised £1,910 for Movember after growing an impressive array of ‘taches in the lead up to the concert on Saturday November 30.
Brass Wind and Fire Chairman Jerry Wallwork said: “The concert was a great success and the amount raised is beyond our wildest dreams.
“We’d like to thank Louise, everyone who supported us and all our guests for making this a real night to Movember!”
