Cash handover to bone marrow unit which saved Kevin’s life

A total of £6,500 has been given to the bone marrow unit at Leicester’s hospitals thanks to a 36-hour games marathon held at The Old Crown pub in Fleckney.

The fundraiser took place in September and the money was officially handed over during a presentation at the pub last month. Pictured above are, front, organiser Jeff Pearce, Leicester Royal Infirmary’s fundraising manager Debbie Adlerstein, ex-Leicester City FC player Ally Mauchlen and Kevin Williams, who had a successful bone marrow transplant at the infirmary.
