A cyclist is hoping to complete a round trip from Harborough to Lincolnshire tomorrow (Friday) to help raise money towards a new community facility in town.

Nathanael Yousuf will be cycling from Harborough to Alford in Lincolnshire, and back, a total of 168 miles.

He is taking on the challenge to raise funds for a community building, based in Fairfield Road, at the back of Abbey Street.

The building is the town’s old fire station annex but has more recently been offices.

A local charity called Fullness of Life has recently taken over the building and work is taking place to convert it into a community centre.

“It is hoped the centre could be used for concerts, events and seminars, used to benefit the local community,” Nathanael said.

The funds raised will be used to buy sound equipment for concerts and to furnish the building.

Anyone wanting to sponsor Nathanael can either donate at the Ice Bar Cafe, in Fairfield Road, or send funds through Paypal and emailing n.yousuf@hotmail.co.uk.
