Plans are being put in place to celebrate Fairtrade Fortnight in Harborough from February 24 to March 9.

Schools will be taking part in a cookery competition and churches are being asked to lay on Fairtrade breakfasts.

Harborough Methodist Church will be holding a breakfast event on Sunday, March 2, between 8.30am and 10am.

Fairtrade bananas are one of the focuses this year and they are being promoted and sold by the town’s Sainsbury’s store.

To find out more about how to get involved, phone Donald Clinton-Smith on 01858 461576.
