A 41-year old man was airlifted to hospital after falling three metres from a ladder onto a concrete floor in Lubenham.

The Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance was called out to the incident on Friday afternoon and landed at the scene at approximately 3.20pm.

The man suffered injuries to his pelvis, so the crew applied a pelvic splint and provided medication to help with blood clotting.

He was then immobilised before being airlifted to University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire for further treatment.

The crew arrived at the hospital at approximately 3.56pm.
