A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on a notorious stretch of road in Harborough district.
The crash happened at around 11am on Sunday (October 6) on the B6047 Harborough Road around 100 metres from its junction with Uppingham Road, near Billesdon.
It involved a black Kawasaki ZZR motorbike and a white Yamaha R6.
Both riders were travelling together towards the A47 and both left the road and came to rest in hedgerows, although police say they were not in collision with each other.
The rider of the Kawasaki was taken to the Leicester Royal Infirmary where he was pronounced dead.
The rider of the Yamaha was not injured.
Det Cons Paul Bingham, the investigating officer, said: “We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collisions or saw the vehicles beforehand to please get on touch.”
