A motorcyclist killed in a crash near Billesdon has been named by police.
Terry Lee Proffitt (43), of Thurmaston, Leicester was riding a black Kawasaki ZZR that left the road and came to rest in hedgerows on the B6047 Harborough Road.
He was pronounced dead a short while later at the Leicester Royal Infirmary.
The incident took place at around 11am on Sunday October 6 about 100 metres from the Uppingham Road, and involved two motorbikes.
The rider of the other motorcycle, a white Yamaha R6 which also left the road, was uninjured.
The motorcycles were not in collision with each other, says the East Midlands Serious Collision Investigation Unit.
Detective Constable Paul Bingham, the investigating officer, said: “We are appealing for anyone who saw the vehicles being ridden beforehand or who witnessed the collisions to contact us.”
