A new cafe stocking local produce has opened in the Harborough district.

The Stables Cafe & Shop is set in the Stable Yard at Cotesbach, near Lutterworth.

For a decade it was home to Naturally Good Food until it moved premises and was taken on by Livvy Newton and Gillian Nicholson earlier this year.

They decided to turn it into a combination of a cafe and shop, to sell local produce and support local suppliers. They have turned it into a place for people to eat and enjoy the picturesque surroundings.

The cafe menu changes daily featuring breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea.

Everything is home-made, using as much local produce as possible from the nearby Cotesbach Organic Gardens.

The shop sells fresh local bread on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and artisan and deli products, a range which the owners say is gradually expanding.
