Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Snow White will be making an appearance at a Harborough opticians this Saturday to raise money for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.
The team at Specsavers in St Mary’s Place are holding a Disney-themed fun day.
Visitors can take a fairytale horse and carriage ride around the town in return for a suggested donation of £5, and younger visitors will be entertained by Captain Jack Sparrow, who’ll be showing off magic tricks and making balloon animals from midday to 3pm.
Staff will be dressed-up as their favourite Disney characters including Captain Hook, Peter Pan and several fairytale princesses. Cinderella and Aladdin will be hosting an ‘story corner’ with special book readings for children at 11.30am and 2.30pm.
There will also be many games including hook an apple and a Find Nemo treasure hunt.
Every child who gets involved on the day will receive a Specsavers goodie bag and there will be prizes for the winners of each game, as well as a raffle to win a hamper full of Disney goodies.
Barry Henning, store director at Specsavers in Harborough, said: “We have a few Disney enthusiasts among the team so they’ve really gone to town in organising this fantastic fundraising day.
“There will be lots for everyone to get involved in and we’re really looking forward to having fun and raising money for our nominated charity, so please come down to the store and join in.”
