A pub has donated £700 to bereavement charity The Laura Centre after raising money through a meat raffle.
Pub regulars and staff at The White Hart in South Kilworth, have been supporting the raffle over the past six months.
Landlord Pete Naylor said: “I cannot thank everyone enough for their kind support. Customers have been so generous and we hope they will continue to be so.”
South Kilworth’s Gail and Harry Moore founded the charity 25 years ago. It is named after their daughter Laura, who died of leukaemia in January 1989.
Laura’s twin brother Kit Moore said: “It’s a great way of raising money and the lucky raffle winners get to choose from a whole chicken, joint of beef or pork supplied by South Kilworth butchers Joseph Morris. We would like to thank our local community for their kindness in supporting the raffle, it is much appreciated.”
