Since winning the X Factor Sam Bailey has been inundated with interview requests and yet the former Gartree prison officer has still taken the time to thank the people of Harborough for their support during her time on the show.
Sam was the clear winner of the X Factor on Sunday night and has kept us all entertained and emotional with her heart wrenching, vocally superb performances for the last three months.
Speaking to the Mail before the live shows Sam said how she would often visit Harborough town in her lunch break and sit in the Memorial Gardens with her lunch.
Today Sam said that she has appreciated all the support shown to her by the people of Harborough.
She said: “I want to thank everyone in the Harborough Mail for promoting me and for their coverage.
“I’ve got a lot of friends in Harborough and the community there means a lot to me and I want to thank them for all their support.”
People wanting to show support for Sam need no longer pick up their phones, but they do need to pick up their purses.
Sam is vying for the number one spot in the Christmas charts on Sunday and her single Skyscraper is available to buy online and at Sainsbury’s in Harborough now.
