Market Harborough Chamber of Trade plays an important role in the business community and aims to focus on supporting business activity in town. .
The importance of how our economy performs is crucial to all our standards of living and so supporting activity which drives footfall or generates positive publicity for the town is a key role of the chamber.
The type of events and activities we support include Late Night Shopping and Harborough by the Sea.
We also organise and arrange for Christmas trees to be displayed above business premises in the hope that the town shopping experience is enhanced for the most important trading period of the year for consumer-based businesses.
This year we are also, for the first time, organising a business expo and exhibition on October 17 at the Three Swans Hotel. Firms will be able to exhibit their products and services, pitch ideas and network with others. So, if you are a local business and would like to attend or exhibit, you can register at harboroughbusinessexpo.eventbrite.com.
You don’t need be a member of the chamber to come along, the event is free, but if you would like a pitch there is a small charge.
The chamber will also be focusing on growing its membership as we seek to improve the economy.
If you are interested, please feel free to attend one of our meetings, which are held at The Angel Hotel at 7pm on the last Wednesday of each month. Alternatively get in touch via Twitter @MHCOTC.
Membership is just £45 per year and includes an affiliate membership to the Leicestershire Chamber of Commerce.
