The Harborough Mail is delighted to be giving significant coverage to a fantastic new initiative which will shine a light on some of the great businesses that are thriving in our district.
The Spark Business Idea Competition launched this week is a brilliant initiative which will give firms in the district the chance to win support, advice and expertise from a range of established companies with a cash value of nearly £40,000.
For the Mail’s story on the launch: New contest will spark new business ideas to life.
Spark, which we have backed since the start, is a great project that is helping to support those individuals and companies that are looking for the kind of help and advice that experienced businessmen and women can provide.
And if we have a thriving and prosperous business community, it can only help make the district of Harborough thrive and more prosperous.
To show our continued support for the town’s businesspeople, we are planning the first ever Harborough Mail Business Awards, which we hope to launch early in the new year, with an awards ceremony in the late spring or early summer.
There is much to celebrate in Harborough and we want to join the Harborough Innovation Centre, Harborough District Council and all the other partners in the Spark awards in making sure we do just that.
It has been too easy to succumb to the doom and gloom of the past few years, but there are real signs of life in the economy, led by the kind of businesses we want to showcase.
