When selecting your agent do you look at how many for sale boards they have? Do you look at how long they have been established?

There is an ethos of agreeing sales simply for the benefit of the estate agent to meet their monthly targets, with no concern for whether the price and timing are in the best interest of you the client.
This is where agents differ dramatically. You can choose an agent that has the most ‘For Sale’ boards and use that as a measure of how successful they are.
Does that mean that you will get the best possible service or time dedicated to you?
Or will it mean that they have too many properties to cope with and their service levels drop?
I would suggest that any home-owners looking to sell should absolutely review the percentage of the asking price achieved by each estate agent before making the decision to use them, use this as a measure of how successful they are as this will ultimately affect your pocket.
