Battersby batters Borough

A DERBY encounter was dominated by Kibworth under-11s (9v9) as they ran out 3-0 winners over Borough Alliance.

The hosts ran out comfortable winners with goals from Jamie Morrison, Ben Newcombe and man of the match Edward Battersby.

Stourbridge 1 Boro’ Alliance EMDS 1

THIS was another battling performance from Borough, who for most of the game dictated the play.

Before they took the lead they squandered two simple chances, but Jack Stubbs popped up in the right place at the right time to tap the ball into the net following good work by Alexis Alcindor.

Borough stretched the Stourbridge defence and should have added more goals before Stourbridge equalised from a freakish free kick.

Barlestone 1 Medbourne u12s 1

WITH the wind behind them in the first half, Medbourne took an early lead through Ollie Marlow.

But Barlestone took advantage after the break to equalised.

Harvey Kempster came within inches of winning it for Medbourne.
